As part of my ongoing filmmaking project in which to re-interpret the European cultural history of chinoiserie through fictional but historical ethnography, ‘Becoming and becoming’ is a contemplation on in-betweenness. In between reality and non-reality, fiction and non-fiction, past and present, there is space for changing, moving, burgeoning and becoming.
